My Word for 2026: Intuitive

I don’t do New Year’s resolutions anymore. They’ve always felt too rigid, too focused on fixing something that isn’t broken.
Instead, I choose a word. A single word that can grow with me through the year, one that doesn’t demand perfection, but invites presence.
For 2026, my word is intuitive.
Why Intuitive?
Intuitive feels like a return.
To listening instead of rushing.
To trusting instead of forcing.
To choosing what feels right, even when it doesn’t come with a clear plan or explanation.
Intuition has always shown up quietly in my life. In the moments I didn’t overthink. In the trips I booked without knowing exactly how they’d turn out. In the stories I told because they felt real to me.
This year, I want to honor that voice, the one that knows before my head catches up.
What Intuitive Looks Like in Real Life
Being intuitive doesn’t mean being unprepared or careless. It means paying attention.
It means:
Saying yes to the invitation that excites
Saying no without guilt when something feels off
Creating without needing permission or validation
Letting my travel plans (and my life) unfold with curiosity instead of control
I don’t expect intuition to show up as lightning bolts or dramatic moments. Most of the time, it’s subtle. It’s trusting that not every decision needs to be justified, some just need to be felt.
Intuition & Travel
Travel has always been where my intuition speaks the loudest.
The cities that pull me back.
The places where I linger.
The moments I never planned but remember most.
In 2026, I want to travel intuitively:
Slower days, deeper conversations
Fewer must-sees, more being present where I am
Choosing experiences that feel right
Carrying Intuitive With Me
I’ll carry this word into my travels, my storytelling, my work, and my relationships. I’ll let it guide how I spend my time, where I place my energy, and what I choose to share.
If you’re reading this and feeling the pressure of a new year, consider this your permission to choose a word instead of a list. Choose something that feels like an invitation, not an obligation.
Here’s to a year of of letting life unfold, one intuitive choice at a time.
My word for 2026 is intuitive, and I’m ready to listen.
