I have been a Starbucks Gold Member since they started their star rewards program. If you don’t know what that is, a Gold Member receives Starbucks perks. You earn a free drink, food item or merchandise by collecting stars based on your purchases. With three of them near my home in Marietta, Georgia it’s pretty easy to get Starbucks any time. When I travel though I rarely get coffee at a Starbucks. I like trying the local coffee shops because I can discover a little about the culture of a city sitting amongst its people, drinking the local brew. Since I made a resolution to live this year with more intention, I decided to intentionally venture off my normal coffee routine in my hometown. In doing, so I have found some pretty special coffee shops right around the corner.
If you too are coffee lover, and want to branch out of your daily Starbucks run. Then check out these local coffee shops in Marietta. Don’t see your favorite Marietta coffee shop? Give it a shout out in the comments.
Cool Beans Coffee Roasters is a local treasure on the historic Marietta Square. Cross the tracks at Mill Street, and you might smell the aroma of roasting coffee beans as Cool Beans roast all their beans on site. Looking to brew your own coffee. You can bring home coffee beans from around the world with their high-quality selection. Check out another option, a Cool Beans signature non-coffee drink is their Mexican Hot Chocolate. It's a combination of delicious chocolate with a kick cayenne pepper. Try one of their savory almond or chocolate croissants with your drink. Even though it's a popular hangout there is plenty of seating indoors and out, but my favorite seats are the front window nooks.
Sessions Stand is a walk-up cafe tucked away in a charming neighborhood near Marietta Square. Sessions Stand brews Rev Coffee, local roasters based in Smyrna. Make sure to order food with your coffee and try avocado toast, a delicious fruit-filled danish, chocolate croissant, scone, muffin or flavorful quiche. All pastries are baked on site daily using seasonal fruit. Their croissants are made with spent grain from Marietta's own Reformation Brewery. Enjoy your coffee and pastries al fresco on the patio deck under the string lights. You can also buy a bouquet of flowers arranged by Marietta floral company Dianthus & Co. or fresh produce from local farmers.
Java Cats Cafe is definitely passionate about their city and is doing good works as Marietta’s first cat cafe. It's purr-fect for cat lovers who also love coffee and helping support the community. Their coffee is ground from local specialty roaster, Firelight Coffee. Pastries sold at the cafe are provided by an organization that helps the homeless get back on their feet. Coffee is served on one side, and a special lounge area for customers to interact with the cats is on the other side. Reservations are recommended. Java Cats fosters cats from the Humane Society of Cobb County. Cats are available for adoption through the Humane Society. Check them out on Instagram at Java Cats Cafe.
Reveille Cafe is definitely a wake up call to your taste buds. Start your day off with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Linger for a cup of their breakfast blend or Dakota bold coffee. If you are wanting something with more unique flavors, try their chocolate and toffee flavored white elephant latte. Snickers or cookies & cream lattes are also delicious options. You really can’t go wrong with any of their many food offerings. My favorite is their Mystic Stuffed French Toast, coated with cornflakes, topped with fresh strawberries and oozing with creamy deliciousness. Awesome food, excellent coffee and remarkable service. Reveille is the best way to start your day.
Bread and Butter join the herd and visit the only coffee cafe in the Marietta Square Market. They brew some of the best coffee in town, by their own Herd Coffee Roasters. Pair that coffee with a chocolate croissant that rivals Paris cafes or enjoy one of their other savory breakfast items. For lunch or dinner, try a sandwich, soup or salad. At Bread and Butter food is made fresh daily, using all locally grown products. Their Marietta location has lots of seating and a cozy corner to enjoy your brew.
Tiny Bubbles Tea Bar Tiny Bubbles is a bubble tea bar but they have two great high energy coffee options Vietnamese and Bulletproof coffee. Vietnamese coffee is a strong brew with sweetened condensed milk served iced or hot and comes in vanilla, dirty chai, caramel and mocha flavors. Bulletproof coffee is blended with grass fed butter and coconut oil. Tiny Bubbles has two locations in Marietta, one on the Square and the other in the Marietta Square Market.
Marietta Coffee Company I guarantee you will fall in love with their cool, cozy vibe. Sit on the patio outside and let the wind chimes relax you while you sip your coffee.
